The Oral Criminal Court 2 of Florencio Varela, began to judge a man for the alleged crime of sexually abusing a minor under 12 years of age. The facts that were aired yesterday were denounced by today’s teenager in 2016 when she was celebrating her 13th birthday and are expected to conclude this Tuesday with the testimony of experts and defense witnesses.

The trial Prosecutor Dr. Marcelo Selier in his opening statement assured that the accused Enzo G. would have abused the minor Z. when she was 13 years old. He clarified that according to the investigation the events would have occurred on February 6, 2016 in a house in Florencio Varela Centro, which would have been repeated with the consummation of the sexual attack days later – February 12 – in a house in Berazategui. Meanwhile, the representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that after the testimonies presented by the prosecution he request the extension of the accusation, aggravating it given that the accused is “possessor of a serious sexually transmitted disease (HIV)”.

In his turn, the official defender González Stier assured that he will base his defense on the testimony of the prosecution witnesses and will request the acquittal of his client.

In the first of the hearings – two are planned – the victim’s father, one of her aunts, the expert who made the victimology report, the doctor who examined the minor and finally the now adolescent who reported having been sexually abused by her relative.

The first to testify was Rodrigo M., who at times broke down remembering that day that, due to an argument with the teenager, it emerged that she had been the victim of sexual abuse at her grandmother’s house, and that the author of her anguish and crying he was his dad’s cousin Enzo.

Z.’s father assured that after hearing the story, he spoke with his mother and brothers and summoned his cousin Enzo and his father. “I put him face to face with my daughter… She told him to her face what had happened and he told her that she didn’t remember what had happened.” He then asserted that he took her daughter to file the corresponding complaint.

The victim’s aunt also testified, confirming to the magistrates that the meeting with her brother, her niece and the defendant was present. “I talked to my niece and when Enzo and my uncle came, I confronted him, telling him to say what had happened on her birthday. He said that he did not remember, that he only remembered going up the stairs to the upper floor… ”.

To conclude, he stated that he recalled that his daughter had spoken with the victim and that she had confided in him that she had been abused by the defendant.

In turn, an expert witness in psychology and a forensic doctor testified. The first reported the interviews with the victim’s father and the two encounters with the teenager when she was 14 years old. Regarding the reports, the specialist asserted that from her evaluation “there were indicators compatible with the facts that were reported in the case” and that “The victim in the interviews was seen to be anguished and anxious as she recounted the facts.”

In the case of the doctor who examined the victim in the Quilmes Medical Corps, she reported that in her report she noted that she had found long-standing injuries in the adolescent compatible with the victim’s story and that a Psychology and sexual abuse protocol for sexually transmitted diseases.

At the end of the hearing, the young woman who reported having been sexually assaulted at the age of 13 declared, the teenager today, approximately 20 years old, was forceful in her story, mentioning the description of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father’s cousin.
