Students of the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Quintana Roo, CECYTE campus Tulumreported by social media to professors who, in exchange for passing the subject and obtaining good grades, request packs of intimate photographs, others refused to have sexual intercourse at the teacher’s request.
The students reported these facts to their parents where, despite the fact that one of the parents went to report the incident on campus, the administrators offered money as long as this fact did not come to light.

In other cases, they have received unseemly proposals to have sexual relations, in this case the student informed her parents and they went to the campus to confront the teacher, but the response, according to the students, was that the administrators offered money as long as the subject did not come to light.
In this way, students indicated that they continue to publicize the facts in which they are harassed, since it is not the first time that it occurs.
When this situation was made known, the director of the school, Carlos Javier Ramírez Acosta, pointed out that there is much speculation about the case, but stated that if the accusations are true, no situation that seeks to harm the integrity of anyone who belong to the school community.
For its part, Colectiva Feminista Tulum, announced its position in support of the students with the following message on its Facebook page:
We stand in solidarity and join the complaint of sexual harassment that the students of the Cecyte Plantel Tulum have made with courage and dignified rage by their teachers at school.
We demand that the authorities take action in this regard and punish the facts.
We denounce and repudiate the sexual harassment exercised by teachers, which is exercised from power by their position within the campus of CECYTE Tulum and the attitude of the directors of the school, who with their desire to defend the image of the campus, have threatened the students, in their right to protest and public denunciation; telling them that they will be expelled from the school if they demonstrate and/or continue exposing what happened.
These facts are unacceptable and show that school officials protect and defend harassers of minors and that makes them accomplices of sexual harassment.
That is why we address and request direct action by the Secretary of Education of Quintana Roo, Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo, Human Rights Quintana Roo, the municipal president Marciano Dzul Caamal and the governor Carlos Joaquín González.

Finally, it is expected that the students and parents will officially file their complaint with the Public Ministry, since it was reported that the complainants had been threatened with being suspended or expelled from the campus if they disclosed any of the aforementioned facts.
