The ViveBús Transportation Operator began a cycle of talks called Tools to Prevent and Combat Sexual Harassment in Public Transportation, aimed at students who use the Trunk Route as their means of transportation to go to schools.
“With these actions we join the efforts that Governor María Eugenia Campos is making in terms of preventing violence against women,” said David Holguín Baca, general coordinator of the agency.
He pointed out that the first talk was given to male and female students from the Colegio de Bachilleres Plantel 2, who learned the concepts and visibility of sexual harassment in public transport, the legal framework, the security actions of Transporte Bowí and the procedures to report and report.
The cycle of talks is aimed at the secondary and high school educational establishments adjacent to the confined lane of the trunk route and is taught by personnel from the Gender Equality Unit of the Operator, in order to maintain actions aimed at the user population. of the trunk route, to assist in combating and eliminating violence against women.
Since last year, the unit has been training its operators in prevention, detection and attention to situations of sexual harassment on board the units, through the protocol of the Safe Cities and Public Spaces for Women and Girls Program in Mexico, of the United Nations Organization.
