Massages and prostitution: the list of clients can unleash another scandal

The legal case for the massage parlor in the center of San Juan, which supposedly functioned as a brothel, is also a box of surprises due to the clientele it had and everything that happened inside. In the seized records they found the names of more than a hundred people from San Juan who attended Eros and data on the services they requested, the gift cards and the forms of payment for the services.

At the moment the main suspects are the owner, a well-known 59-year-old beautician, and her 29-year-old daughter – arrested on Tuesday – for allegedly promoting prostitution. It is that the investigation of the prosecutor Juan Manuel Gálvez and the staff of the CAVIG Fiscal Unit of Investigations manages the strong suspicion that this woman and her daughter did business and ran that place from 25 de Mayo to 18 East Street as a brothel under the facade of the Eros aesthetic.

The tip of the ball jumped by a young woman who worked there as a masseuse and denounced that the owners forced her to provide sexual services to clients. This version has already been confirmed by two other employees of the same aesthetic who declared in the last few hours at CAVIG. In the case, the offer of sex is not questioned, what is being targeted is the possible promotion or sexual exploitation of women through a “madame”, of managers or pimps who make economic profits.

In this case there are versions, according to judicial sources, that the owners kept 70 percent of what each girl earned that day. About 14 women between the ages of 19 and 30 worked at the place, who performed tasks as beauticians and masseurs from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and some of whom offered special services that had to do with sex. All of them will now have to declare.

Another part is the customers. This generates expectations, comments and also fear of the possibility that the names of all those who attended EROS will be revealed. CAVIG judicial investigators found records of more than 100 men, with their full identities, their ID numbers and even the way they paid.

Sources of the case revealed that there were clients of all kinds. Those who went exclusively for a massage session. Other men arrived with gift cards, perhaps given by relatives and even by their partners, to experience a moment of relaxation. However, there they found a sex shop within the same premises or with services such as “sensitive” and “complete” massages, which were sexual offers.

There were also clients who supposedly knew that EROS worked as a brothel, judicial sources pointed out. From the records found, there is data indicating that some men paid 1,500 pesos for typical massage sessions, but others paid between 6,000 and 7,000 pesos. The latter were the ones who requested sexual services. The CAVIG UFI will collect these payment records -made by debit or transfer-, as part of the evidence.

A portion of these clients will surely be summoned to testify so that they tell how that place worked. The names of many of them appear on the lists of regular visitors, some attended Eros up to twice a week. And that is what is worrying now, for fear that their names will be made public, given that married people, professionals or acquaintances in the provincial environment may appear.
