The Unit for Gender Equality of the Ministry of Education and Culture, convened a work table called “Construction of the critical route of the protocol to prevent, attend to and punish harassment and sexual harassment in public schools in the state of Colima” , with the aim of updating the mechanisms to prevent all types of violence against girls, boys, adolescents and women, especially sexual violence from the school and work environment.

At the meeting, which was headed by the head of the Unit for Gender Equality of the unit, Geraldín Herrera Zamora, public servants participated, committed to contributing to this project, among them, representatives of the Government of the State of Colima, of the Comptroller General of the State, the Colima Women’s Institute (ICM), the Legislative Power, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the Human Rights Commission of the State of Colima (CDHEC), the Ministry of Health and the State Police, who with their contributions seek to make this protocol functional and efficient.

In this sense, protection measures continue to be defined for children and adolescents, from the perspective of each of the participating institutions for the prevention, detection and action, in cases of child sexual abuse, bullying and mistreatment, which arise. inside and outside of schools.

Finally, officials from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Coordination of Educational Services of the State of Colima, headed by its head Adolfo Núñez González, advanced in the construction of protection elements for girls and women, to prevent, attend and eradicate harassment and sexual harassment in schools, in order to contribute to the construction of harmonious environments free of gender violence.
