The Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice of Arequipa initiated the tutelary process of granting protection measures for violation of criminal law, in the case of the alleged sexual abuse against a minor under 7 years of age, which occurred in the Los Obedientes, located in the district of Characato.
The head of the court, Nolam Talavera, ordered immediate notification to all those responsible for minors and public prosecutors, giving them a deadline for them to present their defenses and/or evidence.
The fact of sexual violence against the child residing in the hostel was reported last week, after he was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Clinicwhere he has so far undergone two surgeries due to his delicate state of health.
It was learned that the minor would have been abused by two other minors who reside in the shelter. Faced with this situation, the Family Judge ordered that the aggressors immediately be housed in different places while the investigations carried out by the Public ministry.
At the same time, in order to protect the integrity and rights of the aggrieved minor, said Court issued provisional protection measures, prohibiting the two minors allegedly involved in these events from exercising physical, psychological or sexual violence, as well as from maintaining any communication or approach with the minor violated.
