Actress of ‘Doctor Strange’ convicted of sexual abuse of minors

the actress of ‘Doctor Strange’, Zara Phythian, who played one of the followers of Dormammu in the first installment of the movies, was sentenced along with her husband, Victor Marke, for crime of sexual abuse against a minor. This was reported by the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo this Thursday, May 12, 2022.

However, two victims, who are now of legal age, approached the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which would become the Crown Prosecution Service. One of them was abused by Markle before she met Phythian.

According to BBC, marke admitted to having abused a minor by maintaining relations with the victim when he was only 13 years old. According to him, the girl told him that she was 18 at the time.

In the same statement, he also pointed out that Phyntian had not been involved and the actress denied in court having had any kind of sexual relationship with the minor.

However, the minor’s defense denied this and assured that Phythian had also repeatedly abused her along with her husband. This happened between 2005 and 2008, when Phythian was 20 years old and Marke was 42.

For this reason, according to what the BBC media reports, the actress was declared guilty from 14 charges from sexual activity against a minor.

Marke, in addition to the sentence he shares with the actress, was found guilty of incidental assault on a minor, for an abuse he maintained against a 15-year-old girl between 2002 and 2003, for which he was found guilty of 18 charges in total.

Until now and according to the BBC, the couple had been released on bail, but the judge in the case, Mark Watson, put them in custody after the guilty verdicts were handed down.

Conviction of the actress of ‘Doctor Strange’

Sentence will be delivered next Monday May 16 at Nottingham Crown Court, UK.

Nicole Hepburn, a CPS representative who worked on this case, told the BBC: “This abuse may have happened a few years ago, but that doesn’t make it. less serious and it is also not a barrier to justice” and invited other people who have been victims of abuse to approach the CPS with the promise that their case will be taken with the seriousness it deserves.
